Detroit /d?'tr??t/ is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the largest city on the United StatesCanada border. It is the seat of Wayne County, the most populous county in the state. It is a primary business, cultural, financial and transportation center in the Metro Detroit area, a region of 5.2 million people. It is a major port on the Detroit River, a strait that connects the Great Lakes system to the Saint Lawrence Seaway. It was founded on July 24, 1701, by the French explorer and adventurer Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac and a party of settlers. The Detroit area emerged as a significant metropolitan region within the United States as construction of a regional freeway system was completed in the 1950s and 1960s. With these commuting ties allowing social and economic integration across a larger area, the Detroit name sometimes refers to the three-county Urban Area (population 3,734,090, area of 1,337 square miles (3,460 km2), as of the 2010 United States Census), the six-county Metropolitan Statistical Area (2010 Census population of 4,296,250, area of 3,913 square miles [10,130 km2]), or the nine-county Combined Statistical Area (2010 Census population of 5,218,852, area of 5,814 square miles [15,060 km2]). The DetroitWindsor area, a commercial link straddling the CanadaU.S. border, has a total population of about 5,700,000. In the early 21st century, the Detroit metropolitan region holds roughly one-half of the state's population. Detroit is the third-largest economic center in the Midwest, behind Chicago and Minneapolis, respectively.Known as the world's traditional automotive center, ""Detroit"" is a metonym for the American automobile industry. Detroit's auto industry was an important element of the American ""Arsenal of Democracy"" supporting the Allied powers during World War II. Other nicknames arose in the 20th century, including City of Champions, beginning in the 1930s for its successes in individual and team sport; ; and The 313 (its telephone area code).Between 2000 and 2010 the city's population fell by 25 percent, changing its ranking from the nation's 10th-largest city to 18th. This resulted from suburbanization, industrial restructuring and the decline of Detroit's economic strength. Following the shift of population and jobs to its suburbs or other states or nations, the city has had to adjust its role within the larger metropolitan area. Downtown Detroit has held an increased role as an entertainment destination in the 21st century, with the opening of three casinos, new sports stadiums, and a riverfront revitalization project. But many neighborhoods remain distressed. The Michigan governor declared a financial emergency in March 2013, appointing an emergency manager for the city. On July 18, 2013, Detroit filed the largest municipal bankruptcy case in U.S. history. It was declared bankrupt by Judge n W. Rhodes of the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on December 3, 2013; he cited its $18.5 billion debt and declared that negotiations with its thousands of creditors were unfeasible. On November 7, 2014, Judge Rhodes approved the city's bankruptcy plan, allowing the city to begin the process of exiting bankruptcy. The City of Detroit successfully left municipal bankruptcy with all finances handed back to the city beginning at midnight on December 11, 2014.About 80,500 people work in downtown Detroit, comprising one-fifth of the city's employment base. A number of major corporations are based downtown, and several prominent law firms. Downtown also contains large offices for all of the major nationwide consulting firms-- as well as large offices for corporations officially based outside the city, and several other banks. Boost Your Cash Flow

"

So, this is not a loan? asked Joe Cunningham, reclining back into his chair and crossing his legs. The woman who sat across the desk smiled and shook her head. Not quite, she stated.Joe Cunningham owned a small trucking company, and his business had recently fallen on difficult times. Certainly the trucking business can be an extremely profitable venture, and for many years it had been that way for Tyrone. He named his business Greene Trucking, named after Duane and Charlie, his two grandfathers. They had both been hardworking men, and had done a lot to make Joe the same.Disaster had struck half a year ago, when two trucks in Tyrones fifteen truck fleet went down. One was involved in a very costly accident, and the other simply rolled over, and headed to the trucking graveyard. Joe depended on his full fleet, and missing two trucks was devastating . Furthermore, buying a whole new truck and fixing the other simply took more cash than Joe had on hand.A big problem a lot of trucking companies came across was how bills were paid in the industry. Waiting a month or longer for bills to be paid was quite normal. This system works okay as long as no problems arise, but if they do, then things can get quite sticky.Joe was an excellent business man, and he certainly hadn't done anything wrong. Certain events had occurred that he could not possibly have predicted, and now he had to find a way to protect his business and prevent it from ultimate devastation. And that's why he found himself across the desk from this woman. Joe knew she was employed by a Factoring company and that her name was Doris. Joe had come across her company as he sat in his office late one night, pouring over the internet for some solution to his problem long after his employees had gone home. She sat there now, and explained. Its not a loan, we purchase your accounts receivable. We arent giving you money to be paid back later, were buying something from you, and you can buy it back when you can. This is a win-win situation: we are protected from a total loss, and you're protected from the ridiculous fees and charges you'd have to pay if you borrowed from a bank.Joe nodded. It sounded perfect - perhaps too good?.Doris laughed. You look like you dont believe me, she said.Oh no, I do: it just sounds too good to be true. I actually thought I might end up losing my business.Doris smiled, agreeing. We get that a lot. Listen, Id hate to see you lose your company. We know how hard you work, and that you've invested everything in your business. We all need help sometimes. Thats what were here for.""In any case, thank you for coming to see me.""No problem - I'm just down the road. We normally do it all online but I was happy to come and visit you today, said Doris with a smile. Lets see what we can do to help you.And right there and then they created a business profile. Joe filled the form out, with Doris available to help him if he needed it. The profile filled Doris and her company in on Tyrones company, and would help them determine if he was suitable for factoring. In truth, not all companies were. Some were beyond factoring special brand of help, and sometimes things werent even dire enough for it. Listening as Joe filled out his form, Doris was pretty sure he was a perfect candidate for factoring. When the form was done Doris took it and slid it into her briefcase. She then stood, reached across the desk and shook Tyrones hand. He also stood up, and they smiled at each other. They said their goodbyes and Joe walked her to the door, and then returned to his office. All his staff members were there, all seven who worked in his office. Sitting behind his desk once more he could hear the familiar sounds of his office workers going about their daily business. He leaned back and closed his eyes. He felt so drained: he had been flailing helplessly for so long, he just knew his business was going to collapse and probably take him with it. But now, after speaking to Doris and learning all about Factoring, he felt such a huge relief, like someone had just lifted a huge weight off his shoulders. He relaxed into his chair, running his hand through his thick black hair with its telling streaks of grey. All those long, sleepless nights. The terrifying panic attacks that occurred regardless of where he was. He could feel it all fading away. He knew it wasn't over yet and that there was still a way to go, but he could just feel everything start to change for him. He was still here; he knew this was the right path for him, and he felt proud that he had taken the appropriate steps to sort out his problems.Joe couldnt help but think back to when he had first started the business. He had opened a restaurant at age twenty two when he was fresh out of school. It had been successful. Offering home cooking in his own hometown, his business had really prospered. But he had gotten bored. His passion didnt lie with the food industry. He thought long and hard, and then he decided to sell the restaurant. He took six months off, and during that time he decided to create Greene Trucking. And that's exactly what he did. For the second time in his short life he created a company from the ground up. He had been successful. And then the trucks went down, and his success looked to be in flux. He was about to turn fifty. He didnt think he had it in him, to save this company. But giving up wasn't part of his personality either.

Just the thought of shutting down, cutting his losses, laying off his workers - the whole thing made him physically sick some nights. He didnt know how to say quit. And now it seemed as though he would not have to - all because of Factoring. Tyrone's eyes opened, he sat forward in his chair and turned on his computer. He had things to do. There would be plenty of time later to be thankful, but for now it was time to get back to work.

Perry Truck & Haul have been operating their business since the mid 1980s. For more than twenty years they've been delivering goods for most major industries in the nation, with business booming as they traversed the country, in all kinds of weather, for all kinds of clients. During the heady times from 2002 to 2007, Perry was a top rated accounts receivable mastermind of the trucking industry. Very few customers were behind on their bills, and those customers who were late turned in their overdue payments within an acceptable time frame. Times were great for everyone, and the cash was flowing. But a short year later, in the fall of 2008, when the United States economy took a nosedive and businesses both small and large began to feel the pinch on their pocketbooks, those that used to make their demands had suddenly and largely gone silent. Business slowed down. And worse yet, Perry had noticed during the early part of 2008 that though the bulk of their clients were always on time with payments, the few late-bloomers there were, had seemingly started to spread this illness. Spring changed to summer, summer changed to fall, and the CEO of Perry, Victor Matthews, was beginning to feel very uncomfortable indeed whenever he looked at their weekly Accounts Receivable reports. The numbers of clients who owed him back debt were growing. He had gone to his administrators and asked them what the problem had been. Were they doing something wrong or different when it came to reaching out to delinquent accounts? When checking his bookkeeper's records this was definitely not the case. Perhaps he was losing his customers to his competitor, who seemed to offer very low prices with no guarantee of quality or performance, and these clients who were in debt to his company had possibly disappeared leaving him stranded. They could not afford to pay him their debt, but they could afford a lesser service, maybe. But after doing the cursory research for this and talking to friends in the field, he found that alas, no, customers of Perry hadn't gone elsewhere. The had just gone!.To Victor Matthews the situation looked desperate. He had employees to pay, goods to ship, trucks to maintain and overhead that was almost unbearable when compared against the lack of funds that were coming in. After work he would confide in his wife, Sara, and neither were unable to stop the constant worry over the lack of funds.""Lin, I have a really bad feeling,"" he would say with deep woe.""Well, what do you think it is?"" she would say.Victor would stare off into the distance, and then slowly close his eyes. In his mind he could clearly see the fleet of trucks purchased over the many years. He could see them traveling, bringing goods to all of his clients. But somewhere, a haze would form over his fleet and the vast number of vehicles would disappear to but a few. Why couldnt he work out how to resolve this financial problem with his business?""I think I know what it could be,"" said Victor. ""I've relied too long on the profits I receive from invoices alone. I've let too many of our customers go too long without paying on their bills."" Linda could only grab her husband's hand and look at him lovingly, ""it is a hard economy. It might be awhile until things get settled up.

""Victor knew very well that Sara was only trying to help, but his responsibilities weighed heavily on his shoulders and he knew he had better do something soon to resolve this situation. The following day Victor walked into his office with a spring in his step, determined to call each and every client who owed money to Perry Truck & Haul. This wasn't really a very efficient way for a Chief Executive to spend his day, and Victor knew he should be overseeing all the other sides of the business, such as shipments and deliveries, approaching prospective customers, or working with his sales team. But, he felt like he was doing something proactive to help his business, even though he had staff on salary to do just that thing. A waste of time - a waste of money - he had the best intentions, but all the while Victor was realising just how much trouble he was in.After a half day of contacting debtors in vain - they dodged his calls or promised to call back at worst or made minimal interest-only payments at best - he was about to throw in the towel when his secretary Hollyerley knocked at his door.

""Can I have a word with you Victor?"" she asked standing in the doorway.

""Of course Holly, please come in."" Victor relaxed back into his chair and looked up at Hollyerley.""Well, I did a little searching this afternoon and tried to figure out a way out of this mess Victor."" She pulled a small stack of papers from a folder and set them on the desk before him.""Have you ever heard of factoring?"" Hollyerley asked.""It sounds vaguely familiar. What is factoring""? he asked.""Well,"" she began, ""Its actually quite simple really.

So basically, factoring invoices would enable us to get paid on the nose for loads that we haul.""Victor interrupted ""Immediately?"".""Immediately, yes"" she added, ""In a nutshell, it is pretty easy. We start by having a professional account manager review our figures and help us set up a company profile. Included in the profile would be the investigation of our accounts receivable aging reports, our current customers' credit limits etc.. In addition, factoring will assist in determining our customers' creditworthiness, independent from their credit relationship with our company. It provides a very broad view.""Victor replied cautiously ""I see - and what happens then?""Following the completion of their review and once we have been approved for a contract with the factoring company, then we sit down to negotiate conditions and terms. You'll be surprised at the amount of flexibility, all dependent upon the credit histories and business volume.

The company will advise us the cost to purchase factoring for our company's accounts receivable. Once we arrive at a mutual agreement, the funding begins.Victor leaned forward and reviewed the paperwork closely.""I do not know, Holly - it just sounds too good to be true"", Victor said quietly.""Yes, I know; that's exactly what I thought at the beginning. But really, they have guaranteed us experts that do all the legwork, which would free us up here to focus on our clients in good standing and marketing, all that good stuff. They appear to be very flexible, Victor,"" she underlined a paragraph on the paper before him.""Just how flexible?"" he asked.""They personalize the factoring rates so that the amount they are willing to take on is commensurate with our needs and our clients debt. Apparently they can figure this all out in two to four days.

""That sounds pretty good, seeing as we tapped ourselves out with bank loans last year to repair the fleet and money sure is tight. We need to keep business rolling as normal and every day were going unpaid, were closer to facing some serious problems in both the short and long term,"" Victor said.Victor took in a long slow breath, then looked at his secretary with something like hope in his eyes.""Exactly. I think this might just be a way out of the trouble we are in with these folks who owe us money.""Victor took a moment to think about this solution, and agreed with his secretary. The clients who owed them money were long standing friends and professional resources of Perry. They did not want to throw away these relationships because they were having trouble paying their bills now. Victor knew only too well that the whole economy was floundering, and that it was not going to change overnight. That unknown amount of time, if he handled these debtors incorrectly, could spell disaster for both of them. Of course he did not want to lose any more money, but he did not want to lose business either.""Let me go over this tonight Holly, and thankyou."" Holly nodded, stood up and left the office feeling that she had helped her employer keep on his shirt and hers too.Victor sat behind his desk and looked over the details Holly had not mentioned in their meeting. What other issues could freight factoring help Perry with? Running his pencil down the sheet, he noted that the freight factoring company could assist with fuel costs, fuel advances, and fuel discount cards. Victor was surprised: it said that his company could get up to fifty percent cash advances on load pickups. Victor was a typical business man: he despised binding contracts that did not allow room to breathe, so he was pleasantly surprised to see that the factoring company did not require a long term contract, that there was no minimum volume required, and that there were no sign-up fees.""Well, I'll have to tell Mario about this,"" Victor muttered to himself.Victor's son-in-law, Mario, loved the idea behind Perry and highly respected his father-in-law for having such great business sense, that two years ago he got his capital together and started his own transportation company. At that time Victor knew the struggles Mario would face, but he still encouraged him to follow his dream. With the economy the way it was, if an established company such as Perry was struggling then the little guys, like Mario, were going to be in even more trouble. Perhaps the antidote to these problems was in freight factoring, and they were about to find out. Some months later, having successfully gone through the entire process of the application, having experts study his credit history and statements and review his accounts receivable, Victor found that he was starting his journey out of the despair which had been created for him by his delinquent account holders. They adopted reasonable factoring purchase contracts and stopped wasting their own precious time trying to collect debts. They used that time to refocus their efforts in being competitive in new territories. Victor looked back on the dismal months of life before freight factoring and almost shuddered at the thought. If Victor hadn't discovered freight factoring at just the right time, his business may not be operating today.

Factoring Trucking Business

Reasons why Truck Companies Work with Factoring Companies.

As the owner of your own business, you may perhaps be more than perceptive already of the difficulty in making certain that capital issues do not become a difficulty down the line. Anyway, the toughest thing that can quite possibly come about for your establishment is to find yourself embroiled in a long and difficult situation that leaves you forever searching for the cash you necessitate on an continuing basis.

For any sort of firm in this condition, the dilemma can come for waiting for work to lapse and actually be brought in into your balance. Invoices, checks, and the like could take some time to actually to beprocessed which could leave you with temporary available resources problems. The good news is, there are alternatives out there for companies to investigate-- and among these is factoring companies.

Factoring agencies will, in trade for your accounts, give you with the finances asap in order that you do not need to worry about the lingering period that could make paying the bills and purchasing materialsmore challenging. With this type of arrangement, invoice factoring can become remarkably beneficial for countless companies who have to get out of a cash ploy which they have found themselves in.

For the reason that, basing on the size of the job, it can take up to 60 days for a number of firms to get paid then it is very important to blanket your own back and certainly not leave yourself funds short to pay off the expenses. After all, how many businesses have two months earnings just lying there to deal with all their overheads until they make money?

This is primarily correct of trucking companies. They tend to take care of numbers of accounts which means a huge amount of collection period demands business owner themselves. Attempting to get compensated in time can end up being an extraordinary hassle and this is exactly why you utilize truck factoring firms who are glad to help out truckers specifically.

As most of us understand, trucking is an remarkably big industry with countless agencies out there employing hundreds of drivers. Unfortunately, many of these drivers wind up in cash difficulties because they are still expecting work from six weeks ago to actually pay them. When this is the case for a trucking agency, resorting to factoring agencies for aid may be the most effective alternative left.

This means that a trucking organization can pay the salaries of the crew, keep all the cars loaded with gas and continue to go up, rise and expand without consistently waiting for the cash which is taking too lengthy to come in. Trucking Businesses working without a factoring system implemented are leaving themselves at significant danger, as rivals cash out rapidly and continue to develop.

There's genuinely not a thing to be worried about when it comes to making use of a Factoring firm-- they are not like a financial institution or somebody who is going to leave you with a massive pile of financial obligation to repay. You give them genuine invoices from job you have already completed , you are only quickening the payment system.

In the Usa, where trucking firms grow, factoring providers are not considered accepting loan of in any capacity. This confidential settlement then permits both parties to make money and indulge in a worry-free future-- it provides the factoring agency a warranted resource of income to put into the list and it gives the trucking company the needed money that they worked hard to get.

The trucking establishment gives their invoices to the factoring business. The trucking factoring firm then acquire the payments from the trucking company's clients. Factoring has been in existence for hundreds of years and has been adopted for long times by several diverse industries-- but none much more so than truckers. While you might lose out on a small part of the money, something like 1-3 % depending upon who you work with, it indicates that you are receiving the funds today and can actually begin setting the resources to work.

Once and for all, an IOU or an invoice is certainly not going to finance bills, is it? For trucking firms when the hard earned cash can be very good one day and gone the next, it is up to the vehicle drivers to work sensibly and to make certain they are leaving themselves with a considerable amount of time and finance to get through the week till they are handed over once more.

So the next occasion your trucking business is bearing some short-term capital troubles and you are shelling out a lot of time chasing inactive paying clients, why not begin thinking about making use of a factoring companies as a manner to get your money and give yourself a more pleasant future in the eyes of your trucking crew and your bank balance?

Best Trucking Factoring

The Future of a Trucking Company, and Factoring The phone was ringing on his desk, and Herman Andrews just sat there letting it ring. His morning coffee cooled and his cigarette smoked away in the tray: Herman is thinking, and pondering the biggest decision he's ever had to make for his trucking business. Andrews Trucking Company was at a turning point of growth and Herman had to decide if signing with a factoring company was the right way forward.

Hermans father had started as an owner-operator and had grown Andrews Trucking Company into a fifteen trailer fleet over forty years. There had been some hard times when it seemed everything was going to go under and even Hermans mother strapped herself into a cab to make hauls. His father had lived long enough to witness the price of hires drop during the recession and watch the eruption of fuel prices afterwards. But now things were different: the company was in Herman's hands and he needed to ensure that this business would be left in great shape for his sons.

There just never seemed to be enough money to go around, and certainly no spare cash, but to move his company successfully into the future he needed a steady and reliable cash flow. His employees needed to be paid. They had families and household bills too. Some of the refrigerated trailers were in need of repairs and he felt to stay competitive it was also a good idea to invest in specialized haulers to be ready for the constant requests he was getting for loads of new energy and agriculture equipment. He knew that turning down these requests made Andrews Trucking look inefficient and weak in what was currently a strong market.

He knew what his father would have said - 'wait, take your time before adding new technology'. Herman allowed himself a good hard chuckle. His father had been against placing GPS units in the cabs. He would say, Why do you need the voice of some woman to tell you to get off at an exit that has been the same exit that has been there for years? He smiled to himself as he remembered his father poking fun at the other drivers who switched to automatic, even though automatic was quite obviously more efficient (though less manly). He knew his father's days were long gone and new technology was very important for the business, like having Qualcomm to reduce communication time for bills of lading.

Herman knew he was right in his forward thinking. What would be the next step for Andrews Trucking? And how would he be able to afford it? Funding was all tied up in the mortgage for the office and garage and in the fuel bills. He just finished paying off the small bank loan for installing satellite radio in the trucks for the guys.

He wondered about factoring - was this the answer for him? If he was being honest, he did not really understand how it all worked. It sounded a lot like ninth grade algebra which just didnt feel like it belonged as part of the trucking business. A factoring company actually purchases your invoices and takes control of your accounts receivable, payment being a certain percentage of the amount invoiced. In return, the factoring company pays the trucking business straight away, providing immediate cash flow for the business to pay staff, purchase fuel, and do any repairs or maintenance. Without the assistance of factoring, you have to wait for customers to send you the payment which is often 30 days late. During those thirty days the trucking company cannot pay its employees and bills with invoices.

Herman had to really consider what his next step was going to be. Herman had heard that there were companies that charged for same day money transfers and would only advance a percentage of the money owed to your company while holding the rest in a private account if they didnt get their bill payment within 60 or so days. Worse still, if the customer defaulted on payment, the factoring company takes it out of the money supposedly coming to you! Through the grapevine, hed also heard about how some companies suddenly slipped you onto a sliding scale of percentages even if you had already signed a lengthy contract for maybe 3% or 7% so there you are with 10% coming as a cost to you out of the freight bill. His friend Ronnie who had a trucking business in Missouri, was run nearly into the ground by a factoring company that charged him the full freight bill on top of the factoring fees. Well, what was the point of going to a factoring company if there was shady business like that going on?

However, it all turned out to be very simple. All the factoring companies he researched were open about their business practices and very friendly on the phone when he called. Customer service appeared to understand their company and explained in clear, concise English exactly how it all worked. He was quite happy to sign an exclusive contract. In fact, he was quite pleased with the idea of a long-term contract because he knew this was a one-off and he would not have to keep going back and forth to different companies. He was not charged for a credit check, and in addition he was offered a fuel advance on the pick-up of a load. In fact there were a few companies who offered him a non-recourse factoring program, and this was exactly what he had been hoping for. Also he was happy to hear how much he was offered in terms of percentages on the freight bills. It sounded like a great scheme to him.

For Herman it was quite a relief to be dealing with the factoring company. They were more personable than those loan managers at the bank. It seemed as though those bank people spoke another language, but these factoring guys knew the trucking business and spoke to him like a client, not like a beggar for a handout. The factoring companies were not interested in his credit nor the financial problems his father had experienced in the past. All the factoring company was interest in was the credit of his customers and on their reliability: this worked great for Herman because he and his father had created a very strong and loyal list of clientele over the years. So he knew they would understand when the factoring company contacted them for the invoices. His clients would not have any problems, nor would they think poorly of Andrews Trucking, because the factoring companies handle themselves in such a polite and professional manner, similar to the way his father had managed the business in the past.

Herman stepped out of his office to let his secretary know to expect the arrival of the factoring contract shortly. He felt exhilarated by the new possibilities that would make the future of the company fun again and put the stress of the difficult times behind him. With the capabilities of this new cash flow, Herman could actually expand Andrews Trucking Company further across the country and perhaps even go international into Canada. His heart felt full knowing his sons wouldnt have to worry about money because of the right decisions he had made for their trucking business.

Bank Loans

Bank loans are an extremely traditional way for a business to get financing. These loans can be a life-saver, but they're not always available to every business. For example, a fairly newly established business simply may not have the assets to readily get a loan from a bank, even if they do, the standard collateral for a business loan is the business itself, which means that if you cannot make your loan payment, you risk losing your entire business. In addition, while you apply for a certain loan amount, that is all the financing you are entitled to. Of course, once that loan has been re-paid, you can always re-apply for another loan.

What Are Trucking Factoring Companies?

Trucking Factoring companies do not offer loans, and you do not go into debt when you get money from a Trucking Factoring company. Rather the financing you receive from a Trucking Factoring company is based on money your business has already earned, but have not yet received. Trucking Factoring companies actually purchase your accounts receivable or at least part of them for a percentage of their total worth, Normally around 80%-95%. The amount of money you can receive is based on the amount of money you have earned and the accounts receivable you are willing to sell. Once you have set up Trucking Factoring account it continues as long as you wish it too and the amount of money available to you even can grow as your business grows, giving you the ready cash you need to meet your own obligations.

Benefits of a Trucking Factoring Company Vs. A Bank Loan

Not every business can benefit from Trucking Factoring account financing because you have to have a business with accounts receivable, however there are many benefits for those who can access this type of finance.

1. You will not Incur Debt. You do not incur debt as you do with a bank loan because the Trucking Factoring company actually purchases your accounts receivable. One of the main benefits of this kind of financing is that your business credit rating and your personal credit rating will not be affected. In the event that your business fails, you would not have to be concerned about someone coming after your personal or your business assets in order to pay off a loan. With a bank loan, the debt goes onto your credit report, and even one late payment can adversely affect your businesses credit, and even the ability to get insurance and may even reflect upon your personal credit rating.

2. No Collateral Required. Another benefit of using a Trucking Factoring company instead of a traditional loan is that you are not required to provide collateral to the Trucking Factoring company in order to secure financing, because the company buys the accounts receivables; not loans you money based on them. In addition, while the Trucking Factoring company does run a credit check on your customers whose accounts receivables are offered for financing, the state of your credit is not an issue. This means that it is easier for new businesses to access the finance they need through a Trucking Factoring company, providing their accounts receivable are in good order. A bank may believe you haven't been in business long enough to be able to cover this risk.

3. You'll receive the money faster. Using a Trucking Factoring company means that you'll get the finance quicker. The money will normally be in your account within 24 hours, once the Trucking Factoring company is confident that your customers accounts are likely to be paid. Borrowing from a bank begins with vast amounts of paperwork, the loan must be underwritten, and this can take ages before you're notified if the loan has been approved.

4.You receive interest up-front. With a bank loan interest continues to build, and this has to be paid the whole time you have a business loan; however with a Trucking Factoring company there is no interest - they take it right off the top by deducting it from the total amount of receivable accounts. So you do not have to worry about monthly loan repayments, and you do not have to worry about the amount of interest payable, because all the money in the account is yours to spend.

As you can see, there are several benefits that makes considering financing through a Trucking Factoring company over a traditional bank worthwhile. In addition, there are other benefits that a Trucking Factoring company can offer you, outside the scope of a bank. The main benefit is that once you've sold your accounts receivable to the Trucking Factoring company, you are free from having to collect money owed by your customers. Since these accounts belong to the Trucking Factoring company, this is now their job. Trucking Factoring companies are very efficient at debt collecting, and this frees up your valuable time to devote to running your company.

Another bonus is that, because the Trucking Factoring company has evaluated the quality of your customers' credit before buying the accounts receivable, you learn valuable information regarding your customers, like which ones are likely to pay, and which ones are less likely to pay.A Trucking Factoring company is not the only method of gaining access to finance for the running and growing of your business, however it does offer a financing option well worth considering.
